If you haven't done this before, no sweat -- we'll gladly show you the way.
Adopting a dog is a decision that will bring immense joy into your life. This decision takes careful consideration. When you choose to adopt, you not only provide a forever home to a deserving companion but also save the life of the next from the cruel streets or overcrowded shelters of of South Texas.
It's important you understand dogs come in all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, each with their unique personality, needs and story. Sound familiar? It's just like you and the home you plan to bring them into. By opening your heart and home to a rescue dog, you give them a second chance at happiness and a loving family. When adopting, it's important you also know that this is a lifetime commitment.
All of our hounds are located in South Texas, Rio Grande Valley but open to transport across the United States. We are dedicated to getting them HOME. Here's how you can help:
This boy is as handsome as he is kind. We actually thought about renaming him "Happy" once we got to know him because his personality brings sheer joy. He is about 1 year old (65 LB lab mix) and does well with other dogs. No cats.
He would do great in a home with other dogs. He walks well on a leash with harness and is learning all about these things called "manners". He has high energy and would do well in a home that is active to keep him busy.
Crate and potty trained, this boy is ready to come home. He's been fostered in a home since February and his foster says, "Bosco is one of my favorite personalities on this earth. Curious and caring yet strong and confident. He deserves a family that will love him forever and teach him the best way to fold into everything that they do."
Lola. The star of the show. This girl showed up at just under 2 lbs and has been a fighter ever since. We affectionately call her our little "Pistol".
She will do great in any home, kids + cats + dogs... just keep a princess status for her and she approves. She walks well on a leash and is working hard to perfect her potty training in the house.
Crate trained and ready to come home. Her foster says, "She has my whole heart. She loves to be in constant touch and is always looking to make me and the family happy."
She is adorable inside and out. This 27 lb perfect "South Texas Mix" has as much personality as the need to please. Not cat tested.
She would do best in a home without other dogs where she can be the center of attention. She does well with some, and others -- needs to prove her girl-boss status! She walks well on a leash and does well with children. She has energy and would do well in a home that is active, will keep her a part of their everyday and will promise to keep her busy.
Crate and potty trained, this little lady is ready to come home. Her foster says, "Bella is one of a kind. She is polite yet assertive and deserves a family that will love her for always. I can't believe she was wandering the streets... she's a total couch potato."
She's regal. She's elegant. She's royalty and we are excited for you to meet Sophie. She has a playful personality but also knows how to keep it all in with her excellent manners. Tea party anyone?
She is crate and house trained and all of the dogs love to be around her. She will be spayed prior to adoption. Sophie would do well in a home with or without other dogs, she's confident in her own skin and learns quickly. We attribute that to her suspected Aussie/Lab mix.
She is playful and the most gentle young lady. She is 6 months old (40 LBS) and up to date on all shots, ready to make your home hers. She has been fostered in a home with children since May and her foster family says, "Sophie is a gentle spirit with the need to please. She learns quickly and has folded right into our family. She will make any home so happy."
Jake - Jake the Great - Jakester. This boy is a perfect family dog with manners, a calm spirit and love to provide anyone in the room. His eyes are crystal blue with distinct husky coloring.
He has tested positive and is receiving treatment for Heartworm. Fully updated on his vaccinations and neutered. He gets along great with other dogs (not cat tested), children and humans.

Winston (literally) couldn't be cuter. Just look into those eyes and tell me he won't be the perfect loyal companion. He's a sweet baby, just 12 weeks old and looking for his forever family and home.
He is up to date on his vaccinations, working on potty training and learning quickly to love the safety of a crate. He is confident and curious with a personality that is sure to please. Approximately 15 lbs and expected to be a medium to large size fully grown.
His foster texted to share: "He's such a prince! He listens when I talk to him. He made friends with everyone waiting at the vet and was universally felt to be totally adorable!"
Mocha is a beautiful female lab/vizsla mix, nearly 5 months old with the most stunning eyes and chocolate coat. She is confident, loyal, intelligent and does well with other dogs. Not cat tested.
In August, she was adopted by a family near Crystal City, TX and will be raised alongside two beautiful little girls on a 250+ acre cattle ranch. To say we are happy for her is an understatement. She is so deserving of a family that will love her forever more. Give it up for MOCHA!
